Br. Fred’s Final Profession:  On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the grounds of Adraa Agriculture College, Br. Fred Ayikobua professed his lifelong commitment to the mission of the Franciscan Brothers.  Covid restrictions limited the number of people in attendance but there was still approximately 300 in the congregation, including 130 students who are currently doing a five-week course in the college. The main celebrant for the mass was Mgrs. Emmanuel Odaga, the administrator of Nebbi Diocese. The ceremony started at 10.30 a.m. and it was 4.00 p.m. by the time lunch was over. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful, joy filled occasion.  A word of thanks to Brothers Charles, Albanus and the Adraa Community who orchestrated the teams of college students and staff to ensure a beautiful ceremony, witnessing the generous commitment of Fred to our Franciscan way of life.  In special way we thank Fred for making this challenging commitment in front of his Franciscan Brothers, family and friends — most of whom participated in the ceremony.  We praise and thank God for such a wonderful event and Br. Fred’s courageous example will renew our own enthusiasm and commitment to our way of life.
